The construction of the $1 Billion, 274m, SKYTOWER, the tallest apartment building of Brisbane has started.
This project is a joint venture of Billbergia and AMP Capital, adjoining a five-star hotel, will be the third tallest residential building of Australia as Q1 on the Gold Coast and Eureka Tower in Melbourne are on first and second place respectively.
Skytower, on completion, will include more than 1100 residential apartments and a sky recreation deck on the 89th floor that features highest infinity-edge pool of Australia and will make it a best piece of designing and construction built by home builders Brisbane.
An Eight Storey basement car parking has already been constructed to secure the footing of the Skytower. Next month, this parking area will be opened for public parking as construction of the apartments continues on the floors above.
Since the first release i.e. Six months ago, Skytower has raised assistance with buyers, creating more than $350 million revenue with the sale of 550 residential apartments.
On Friday, further more apartments will be released with residences on the top 10 storeys to follow up later. On these penthouse levels, designs will be determined by buyer demand.
Bill McGarry, development manager of Billbergia group described the starting of the construction of the Skytower as a major milestone.
He said, “The construction commencement is always the most exciting time in the development process.” “We are at a key project milestone with the full completion of basement level. We are further along in the construction process than we would normally be.”
“At this point, we will see the tower come out of the ground. Within the next year to 18 months of continuous construction we will start getting the sense of the impact of the Brisbane’s Tallest residential building and Skytower will have on the city’s skyline.” Bill further added.
